About the event

Harry Truman first proposed national healthcare back in 1949 in his "Fair Deal" plan. After several failed attempts at healthcare reform, the 2010 Affordable Care Act expanded healthcare to many, but still has left millions without coverage as others struggle to afford higher premiums, copays, deductibles, and drug costs. Since 2003, representatives have tried to pass Medicare for All (HR 676), a single-payer healthcare system that would cover everyone. In a recent poll, 85% of Democrats, 52% of Republicans, and 70% of voters overall are in agreement with a single-payer universal healthcare system. Join us to hear from patients, healthcare providers and policy experts why we need Medicare for All and how we can persuade our electeds to sponsor and push for passage of HR 676.
